This is my eleventh birthday
Eleven years ago, today, God saved me.
Because of His death on the cross, I can come to Him and He will see me without sin. He has forgiven me from all my sins, past and future. I will never cease to be amazed how He could save me. I am not by any means perfect. Nor could I ever hope to be. But He promises in His Word that if I only confess my sins, He is faithful and just for forgive me. He has promised me that He will never leave me. I can never lose His forgiveness. I love that.
Eleven years ago, I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and save me. That is all I had to do. He did the rest. Now, I spend every moment I can serving Him. I still fail. But He still forgives (check out Psalm 136). My God is more than I could ever hope for. He loves me more than I can fathom. He has saved me from a life in Hell and promises me that I will live with Him forever!
Father, thank You for adopting me. Thank You for making me Your child. There are no words to describe my gratitude. I can never make it up to You or repay You. I can never work my way to being perfect. But Your blood has covered my sins. Thank You for being who You are. Thank You for saving me.
Who am I?
Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.
Bridge:
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,

And you've told me who I am.

Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
I am yours..
I am yours..

Vacation
Well, I have one more week until I am off on vacation. I am going to visit my sister and brother-in-law and help out with my niece for two weeks. Then when I get back I have one day to get laundry done and pack before camp. I am SO excited about camp. Then we're going to be getting ready to move, hopefully.
Wednesday, provided it doesn't rain, I'm taking my little brother out to go riding with me. I'm excited about taking him. I've decided to do something different for my birthday this year. I'm going to get everyone else cards and maybe presents (ha ha ha, where's the money for that?). Anyway, yup. My birthday is gonna be different. Not too much going for it. So I'm looking forward to surprising my little brother with a riding lesson. I get to ride, too. I haven't told him yet, because every time we try to put this together, it rains. So I'm gonna tell him Tuesday night, so he doesn't get disappointed. =)
Anyway, this is life.

Though others forget....
Isaiah 49:14-16
14 But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,
And my Lord has forgotten me.”
15 “ Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.
I have known this promise since I was small. Why have I forgotten it? The Lord showed me this this morning. I love the part "Surely, they may forget, yet I will not forget you."
As some teenagers say, "God rocks."

The sun is shining.
The sun is shining. The flowers are blooming. The trees have leaves again. The bushes, too. The birds are singing. The bees and bugs are out (much to my dismay). I think spring has arrived. =\
I am not really one for spring or summer. But this year, I think I'm okay with it. I am sooo sick of the clouds and rain and brown leaves and mud. I am ready for it to be warm (but not hot!) and sunny again. I am happy the sun is out. God is good. =)
